Default The wind the wind the wind!

My fishing hours are gone.....

The wind just started to pick up and that's it for me. Especially, as I was way down a high bank, and a huge towering tree on the other side of the river let out a big craaaaack!

Man, I've never seen me run so fast in my life!!!

I was elk hunting a couple years ago out of LaGrande in a big stand of Tamarack some 100 + feet tall. It had snowed the night before and the wind started blowing hard and those things swayed and cracked made more noise then I wanted to hear, As I was leaving the area I hear a loud crack and down comes this 100 footer landed about 50 feet from me.  Can you say oh ___t. Scared me to death.

Hopefully your trampoline doesn't fly away again.

The trampoline is anchored down with our Columbia Anchor. The prongs dug into the earth but good!

When much younger and more foolish we fished the N.Fork Nehalem in a high wind. Fishing down in the big patch of alders and the trees are snapping, falling and cracking. A tree falls and were outta there. Anymore if the wind is goiing to blow hard I stay home, kinda like today. Woke early and wanted to go fish the Wilson but after high wind warnings I just said no. Hard to get any kind of drift when the winds blowing. How's the water color holding Jen?
