Default IDAHOOLIGANS: Forming a steelhead challenge

Anyone from Idaho that wants to lower themselves, and fish in my sled on the Clearwater for the steelhead challenge...post here!

Geek, thanks for figuring out what we are called! I like it, but we will hail to Team Moose Drool. Gotta stick with tradition.

Mojo,

Not from Idaho but up in Spokane. Wouldn't mind fishing the Clearwater with you. Let me know. I think I'll be fishing it this weekend as well.

I'll keep taking applicants, and you two have a ride! I can fish 3 easily, 4 gets a little crowded. However if one drops out, or something changes, I'll let the next one in.

Hogmaster, come on over. I'll either make room for you in the A-Weld or you con bring your own. There is nothing that says we can't have 2 boats out fishing the Clearwater that day (or 3). I'd love to have a few other IFISHers there!!

Eric, You are welcome too. You'll be able to recognize us immediately, we'll be in the gray 22' Alumaweld V-Sled, giving each other high-5's (or huddled around the propane heaters).

Mojo,

Assuming it is the 11th and 12th and you are coming a fair distance, will you be sticking around to fish both days? Any particular section of river you like to fish? I'll be down there this weekend so I'll let you know how the fishing was. Thanks for the invite.

Tim,

I'll be down there this weekend Sat/Sun. I would love to hook up with someone who knows the river as I am working on learning it. I've been down a few sections in a driftboat and now have a small sled that I've had down there 3x. Really just learning the river and also how to read the water and run a sled. That's why I would love to go with MOJET to learn some of these things. I'd also like to learn some of the other techniques used there other then plug pulling. Like the side drifting you mentioned. Only two of us going this weekend so we'd have room for one more if you're available.

The dates are 11 and 12 Jan, 2003. I'll fish all day the 11th, and till around noon on the 12th. I'll let any interested parties know what's up as things progress. Born2Fish, Denali and Me in one boat... Hopefully another team on the horizon.

I would love to put a team together, but due to a family member being very ill (long term) it is hard for me to plan that far ahead.
I may be posting short notice for drift boat trip on the Salmon near Riggins. If the Salmon is iced up we could try banking it at Hells Canyon (Oregon side). I'll know more after the first of the year.

Well, technically we are Team Moose Drool. But I really do like the Idahooligans, and with your permission I'll keep using it.

O.K. Geek! I'll give you a share (1/5th). You also have a standing offer fo a seat in the Sled-O-Matic 22,000.

Mojo, the timing you set for the 11th, and 12th [til noon] sounds good to me. Should be a kick!

I havn't fished the Clearwater yet but would love to. A friend who fishes the Clearwater told me the fish I caught in the Salmon last weekend (33") was about average for the Clearwater. I could deal with that!
If you have a spot and I'm available I would love to fish with you. If you're full and I'm available I'd sitll like to put together a pickup team.
Just don't let anyone in on our secret Idaho bait....Pro Cured spud balls with shrimp oil. ..oops...
