Re: steelhead challenge what day??
Dang, Saturday only? I can only do Sunday.
How about a weekend, 2-day event? Them bass boys spread their tourneys over multiple days. Combined totals over both days. Substitutions within the team for those who cannot do both days.

.I hope everyone can fish now.
This will be a 2 day event saturday January 11th and sunday the 12th.You can fish either day or both but only use one days catch to get your score. The best of the 2 days.
sorry "geekman"
i think most of the guys would rather it be a saturday.i wouldnt mind a 2 day thing but i think that would put a lot of people out.

I'm new to the "challenge" thing. What's the plan/rules? I can come up with a couple of front seaters for my Willie but what else?

That's right. I forgot about that morning we fished together. He forgot his thumb then too didn't he Dan??
What day is it going to be ?????
I would like to know before I attempt to find some team mates please.
I'm booked on the 11th, so my fingers are crossed for the 4th or either Sunday.

Hog-
He WILL catch you ! He's been know to be a late night poster
So it looks like 30 people voted.
7 say the 4th
8 say the 11th
and 15 don't care.
Anyway we could split up the 15 votes ?
If I could change my prior comittment I would. And there's a slim chance that could fall thru, but I hope not.

Re: steelhead challenge what day??
I know I pointed this out in a previous post on the rules thread.
If it is going to be the 11th folks you may want to pick a different spot to fish than the Oxbow to Dabney drift on the Sandy. We will be launching the annual frost bite follies and there will be an additional 13-14 driftboats on that section of the river that day.
That said if it is on the 11th I am in regardless of who I draw for my partners as it is a random draw on the follies and I could end up with folks who can't fish! I would just need to make sure they were ifishers correct?

We will know the day tomorrow night, tell then get some sleep. if the vote is close at all, i will move it to the 4th so it doesn't mix with SandySteel's deal.

Re: steelhead challenge what day??
Wiz -
That just means I am faster. Ummmm, not sure that sounds right either! I see you're no longer stuck on 1002. Good getting out of that rut...
I thought maybe I had some kind of record for quickest to a grand, but then I remembered Mel and Bernie! No way!!!
Seems that the 4th might be better because of the additional Sandy River pressure on the 11th. Surely no other boaters or bankies will be out on the 4th. Yeah right...

Re: steelhead challenge what day??
i guess i'll try to get a couple teams fishing the central coast so we dont get left out down here. are we going to keep a score of some sorts, or just take pics and we can all argue over who should be the winner. i think measure each steelhead landed and add up total inches per team. anyone who wants to fish the alsea thats probably where ill fish so put a team together and then i can beat you

Marlin Mark asked the rules, and no one responded, did they?
I'd like to know too!
Are there any rules?

Re: steelhead challenge what day??
Oky Guys,
Was sumbody razzin' me about thumbin? Or using my thumb just because I can't seem to find it don't mean it's not there. So I'm thumb challenged. Isn't there special rules for the thumbs impaired? Let's have them.
Thanks for the offers on the seats but I am putting a team together that will make up for my thumbobility.
SS, I got the net scooping, catapulting thing down pretty good. I learned that from phunybonz. Too bad he isn't here to defend himself and take up on this great fun.
With all the different threads going on, Who can keep up?
 Smily
