the real sturgeon callenge baton poll
We are in need of a fair poll. With all the people that didn't even catch a shaker. So these are the contestants.all of whom didn't land a fish.

Re: the real sturgeon callenge baton poll
crabbait,
Landing a 10-12 inch shaker takes skill especially when using a 7/0 hook. You have to wait till just the right moment to set the hook
Anyone can hook one of those keepers!
SMALL shakers take skillz!

Re: the real sturgeon callenge baton poll
A lot of people didn't get keepers but these few and proud, and the worst of the worst. There lack of fish catching abilities should get them the baton.

Shakers count because Madwizerd is REALLY afraid of the votes he was gettin....did I tell you all that he stole a fish from Fishbait? Thats right, MADWIZERD snuck (landed) one of his 2 shaker(s) off fishbaits pole when he wasn't lookin... now that was low...

Re: the real sturgeon callenge baton poll
You left Jennie off ! She doesn't get the baton, but she did win the "what baton?" award.
Besides, I can't vote. I wasn't registered (didn't talk no smack - didn't fish no sturgeons). I may sue though, because I feel disenfranchised. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I'm pretty sure it happened to me, and I've got the emotional scars to prove it.
Just try and have another one of these without me....and Jen.
Skein - Please, please let it rain before we all go crazy (er).

Re: the real sturgeon callenge baton poll
MadWizerd, Yep, that's the facts. Dang bald Eagle even outfished the three of us lowlife losers that particular day. UG's got nothin on we three crackers! Heck, and he even kept relatively quiet and let YOU do most the smack talking for your team! I don't think he deserves it!

Re: the real sturgeon callenge baton poll
Okay! I have a vote! Mike, aka KingFisher85, I would bet money it came from you. Not a good thing to do so close to Christmas AND your Birthday. Lump of coal, socks and underwear. That is what you will get.
Mel, I am so glad to be in your company on this list! I wouldn't want to stink myself out of another trip on your boat. They put you on that list because they knew you were the most comfortable of us all!

Re: the real sturgeon callenge baton poll
MadWiz - Yep, that's correct. They don't get any worse than I was that day! The only one in our boat that got one was the rookie Husker! I got a few bites, but they never grabbed hard enough to swing at. All that jaw flapping and I stunk as bad as quite a few others! For what it's worth though, the only fish at all (beside the dang showoff bald eagle) caught among the 6 boats that were brave enough to try Bonneville was in our boat. Either way, I stunk, no doubt about it! If UG couldn't even get a bite, I don't feel as bad as I did. He's probably caught more total fish than all of us this year! He deserves the baton, but I'd take half of it from him! Don't know why but he seems hell bent on having it though!

Re: the real sturgeon callenge baton poll
Skrimmy,
Don't make it sound so good. Even that eagle had a better hook set than HUSKER....
Had a great day with fellow Ifisher's skrimmy, sturgeon tom and husker. Great bunch of guy's. What a day of wishing and dreaming of the winning sturgeon. Althought I still confused   on what exactly winning is. If it is not catching well I guess I won...Chris

Re: the real sturgeon callenge baton poll
Fishnxtc, and MadWiz- Yeah, at least they can't call me a Sturgeon Snagger! And MW even admits snagging it in the belly and COUNTS it?? Should be a special baton for that!   And Chris, I'd fish with you again anytime.
