Wind Report for Kelly Point/T6...

Anybody fish the KP/T6 area yesterday? Wind's been blowing like crazy in N.E., I need to know if It's still staying calm out there.
Want to get out with the wife today and she doesn't care for the wind.

Sussman on Channel 8 is forecasting a lot of wind today at least, especially in the gorge :depressed:

Hogmaster, Last saterday it was blowing bad at my house when we left to fish out there but it was calm at the point, foggy and cold too. I was hoping it would be the same today?

In an easterly, the KP area is usually pretty quiet. I think you'll be fine. You might have to go downstream around the bend even a little further, or kind of tuck in behind one of the freighters at anchor. The easterly seems to dissipate just downstream of the I-5 or railroad bridge.

Drove by that area about a hour ago. Looked flat from the I-5 bridge down river.

puddles, There was no wind. It's kind of strange, the wind is blowing at the boat ramp, but when you get half way to the mouth it flattens right out. We fished at the spot we met you and Willie J and got bit within a few miutes and had steady action for about two hours, current was good the whole time. Someone must have fliped the switch at that point and the bites were only coming once every 15 mins. to 30 mins. We moved up to the green can for about an hour and only got one shaker and a couple of bites, so we went back to the first place. Wasn't much better, but we did get a few more shakers and the current was still good. We left at 2:45 P.M. It was still better than working!
Only fished smelt, and they seemed to prefer it naked (no stink).
