Re: Clack Report!!!!!
Steelhead, the one we kept was a late summer run hen. She was in really good shape for this late in the season. The meat was bright orange, almost red. Come on rain, we need to get those winter fish going.

Re: Clack Report!!!!!
I was up there as well... Fished from 2:30 till dark. Went 2 for four, the two landed were almost twin hens except one was wild and one was clipped.
One of the fish I lost was a absolutely chrome (probably late summer run) hen that would have gone 13-15 pounds! I had it althe way up on the rocks when the leader snapped and the fish flopped back in. I almost cried. :depressed:
Otherwise a great time... I tried a little different area today that was large boulders (from volkswagon to schoolbus size) and quiet pocket water in between. You could see the fish holding in most spots, and the game was to spot and stalk the fish. Spot fish. Get a cast in that will bring jig in front of fish. Working jig around the rocks and trying to not spook the fish was a blast. Then trying to play the fish in a mess of large boulders and land it without a beach or net was challanging. Much fun.

Re: Clack Report!!!!!
Damn, after my plans fell through last Sunday I should still have a kp available in the bank. Maybe I'll wander up to that neck of the woods Sunday morning and see what I can scare up.
Look for the cream-colored Explorer with the pinstriping and the rear drivers-side damage (pole ran out in front of the wife while backing up). I'm either fishing or hiding in the trees nearby with a blowgun waiting for someone to try and break into my rig. I've found that a good concentrated cinnamon oil really does the trick on those darts.

Uglygreen:
That picture you posted of the steelhead was great. I set it as wallpaper to look at, while I wait for the wind to stop and the rain to start.
What kind of digital camera are you using? Thanks for the info.
