alright im done
just dont really understand why this board has to have so much emphasis on locations while most put techniques on the back burner. seems it should be the other way around

Fished for three hours near the town and didn't do anything. Talked to another guy who didn't do anything.
The hatchery had 35-40 steelies in it yesterday!
They are in there...somewhere.

Dude... That was not very nice. Muley, as well as the rest of us, are excited to hear how the fishing is on the Alsea. If you don't like his posts, don't read/respond.

I think you owe him an apology for your tone / comment.

Since everyone is ganging up on Drift fishing Fool i'll share my 2 cents. I think he has a point. After all where can a better report be had, Nowhere, there is none better than your own. The best and only report worth reading having is the one you make. It's December and people know fish are coming, heck they are at at the hatchery, stands to reason they are in the river. Why rely on some one saying I went 2 for three today, and so on. What does that even do for you, nothing. It doesn't amount to squat. Go out and fish, make a report, and if you must share go ahead maybe you'll help out someone like Muley Buck who doesn't know how the fishing is.

Who the hell does this 'Jay' person think he/she? He isn't a reugaltor of the website, why does he get to point the finger and snap out at people who are trying to shut others up? Personally I think he should be booted from the WS! And if you see this angler on the river tell'em so!

I just got back from the alsea, I had a few good runs, one I fought for about 5-6 minutes and then decided I would practice my long distance release, and it spit the hook. Dang it!!!! I was just throwing spoons all day. I started at Mill creek and then bounced all over the river.
Nice day on the water felt like I owned the place. I fished til I broke th tip off of my pole, I guess that neabs it is time to go.

Give 'er hell, The fish are there if you can find 'em.

Sorry to hear about the rod, FOD. That sucks - it happened to me recently, but I just got a call that my rod is back and fixed! Hope to get it tomorrow and test it out on some Alsea steelies!

Button buck,

It is awesome 18 for 24 all on rubber jigs and rattle-traps. I have been slow rolling them along the bottom and flipping along rip-rap points. Their taking it really light so watch the slack in your line.

Ummmmm.......I just like to here how everyone is doing. Don't think I have a problem catching fish on the Alsea, the group of people who I fish with probably catch the biggest percentage of fish on that river. I just like hearing other peoples stories, and if you don't appreciate me asking it, don't read the posts, it's not ment for you. So for those of you who would like to share your stories, please feel free.

Hey don't worry about it, MB.
You could have the best tackle and techniques in the world, but if the river was way out of shape, or no fish were in the river, you'd never catch a fish.
Everyone, make sure NEVER to post a picture of an Alsea steelhead, you know, because the river is so zippered.

BUTTON-BUCK,

You better hurry, bites on! Went topwater today! Misc. popping bugs and buzzbaits. Not as good as the other morning but still went 7 for 13 before sun hit the water.
