Anyone ever use these lure?
I was looking at the latest issue of STS when I saw the ad for these lure. They looked killer, so I visited their website and looked at the video of the lure's action underwater and they looked killer. My question is has anyone tried these. I'm just looking for a review, but feel free to comment about them.

I was actually thinking of ordering some of these. It would be interesting to see if someone has had good results with these....

Can't comment cause I can't see what you're talking about.

Re: Anyone ever use these lure?
I can understand the contact info being removed, but I've seen many posts that refer to lures that are made by companies that don't sponsor this site.
Can we at least know what the lure name is in the post?

Re: Anyone ever use these lure?
I understand supporting your sponsers, but to not even to be able to talk about other products what is the point of the board? I thought it was so everyone could learn a little more and discuss it.

Re: Anyone ever use these lure?
pictures, descriptions and opinions about products and businesses are OK. The AUP only constrains contact information. Ifish understands that this sometimes unduly limits discussions so we have been experimenting on the Salty Dogs with a new rule to improve how this works.

Re: Anyone ever use these lure?
This was an honest mistake. Give us a break here. We are trying to fix it, and allow you to know what the heck he is talking about. I was out the other day, and Pete said, "I tried to read all 1000 posts today, but not sure if I covered them all." LOL
I was confused too. Certainly you can talk about any lure, product, etc you want to... just removed the contact info, and in so doing, we goofed, and now you can't tell what the heck it is. Let's pretend it was chocolate ice cream, until we get ahold of Grand and he can tell you what it is.
OK? I love Chocolate ice cream and I use it all the time!
I think it's kinda funny... Hold on... being fixed!

Re: Anyone ever use these lure?
And, ALwyze? You are kinda mean, and I'm not so sure I want you here with that attitude, anyhow.
Go have some chocolate ice cream and chill.

Re: Anyone ever use these lure?
Alwyze,
WOW!
It seems to me you been labled " mean ."
Your commentts have gotten you a personal response.
I don't think that's right.
If Ifish is a communitty then, a communitty by definition is [B]diverse.[/B Attitude's come in all sizes and colars.
If the powers that be deem a "attutude" is out of line, then thats thier call. But, a public dressing down, seems a bit public. It's also a poor example in my opionion.
Should I call someone a name, and lable them next time I disagree with someone?Seems to be the example I saw....
a quote; "you lable me, I'll lable you. So I dub thee unforgiven"...
It's a song. but it says to me.
If you pigenhole me, I can't forgive you your ignorance. Acceppt me for who I am, or I don't need to explain myself to you.

Re: Anyone ever use these lure?
 Lighten up. I'm joking! I'm frantic! I'm trying to take care of too many things at twice!
Alwyze, you aren't mean, you just hit a sore spot! We are trying so hard to be fair, and to read and take care of thousands of messages.
Sorry you were offended, GL2.
I'll play nice... as soon as I go catch a fish... Got my waders on! Some people need coffee in the morning. Some need fish. I need both.
..Or maybe I need chocolate ice cream... Let's see....

Re: Anyone ever use these lure?
"pictures, descriptions and opinions about products and businesses are OK. The AUP only constrains contact information"
HOWEVER, Skein posted (in the salty dogs) the following:
* We will allow posting of business contact information or URL's, unless it is direct, targeted marketing.
* We will allow linking to articles and stories that pertain to the subject at hand, i.e. fishing or gearing up.
* We will allow linking to products that aren't normally available though our sponsoring businesses.
So it must have been a mistake by an overzealous or uninformed mod. This was obviously not a marketing ploy and should have been allowed.
I don't know about the sales and marketing of ifish, but it seems like the companies that ifishers are interested in should be approached to become sponsors. If you looked at these links as sales leads, you might begin to think of these links as possible assets rather than liabilities. You can ban their links if they refuse to pay up!

Re: Anyone ever use these lure?
Pitch, you missed the important parts of Skein's post!
The title: An experiment on posting links
The content: Please consider these guidelines when posting a link
We're testing on Salty Dogs and when we get things right, we'll expand the rule, OK? If you have comments, please add them to Skein's post at the top of the Dog's board.

Re: Anyone ever use these lure?
I didn't realize that the Salty Dogs forum was another country. No mention in skeins post there that it was an isolated test pertaining to only a portion of ifish.

Re: Anyone ever use these lure?
Hi Pitch,
I'm sorry. You are correct. I've edited it. Sometimes in discussion, we fail to let you understand everything that is happening.
I've edited the post on Salty Dogs to include:
(EDIT) This is a test that we are performing on the Salty Dog board ONLY at this time. Thanks to Pitch Pocket for bringing this up. We have not extended this to the ifish community at this time. We are still on a trial basis, on Salty Dogs until we are satisfied that it is working! Thanks,Jen
We wanted to start on a smaller board, to see if it is satisfactory, before we made a big plunge.
Thank you for your patience.
Jen

Re: Anyone ever use these lure?
I have written an apology to Grandsalami and invited him to start his post on this lure and the manufacturer of this lure, on another post.
Seems this one got hijacked into oblivion.
We apologize for the mistakes in moderation.
I mean, the moderatation mistakes...
I mean....
I still need more coffee and fish, I see.
I'm going to close this, and hope that Grandsalami will share the "mystery" lure.
