Default Fishing Tackle Regrets

Is there some rod, reel, boat or other fishing items you either sold or gave way that you wish you had back? It's easy for me to look back at something I sold that I wish I still had.
I owned a Leonard 9' for a #8 Bamboo fly rod with a Hardy St. John reel that I shed a tear everytime I see what bamboo fly rods are going for today. Also had a Browning O/U shotgun I regret selling.
How about you guy and gals? What fishing tackle do you still shed a tear over?

Man, I never thought of rifles as fishing tackle!

I've still got all the rods and reels I ever really wanted. My greatest regrets are deals I passed up and my failure to take care of some of the gear I've got. It just isn't easy to "un-bend" the frame on a fly reel or re-attach the last 3 inches on a graphite rod.

The LCI 9' 8 wt. I had to pawn and didn't retreive. The S & W 357 I sold. hmmm tackle - all the glo-go's and irreplaceable drift bobbers lost along the way. Too many things to think about Shane. How about the 11 year collection of STS.

I lost two bamboo fly rods that were approximately 50-70 years old each. They both had extra tips, cloth holders, and were taped together in two long cardboard tubes. I have no idea where they are. I haven't seen them in almost 10 years, and it rips my guts out thinking about them. These were heirlooms... :depressed: :depressed: :depressed: :depressed: :depressed:

Geek,

I had a hand made split bamboo rod that an old timer had made for my mother when she was kid growing up in Grants Pass. He was the guy that taught Glenn Wooldridge much of what he knew....Earl Allen was his name.

I had it on display in a retail store I worked at. I was layed off due to slow business but left the rod as well as a bunch of pictures for display. I heard nothing more until one day I drove by the store and saw a CLOSED DUE TO BANKRUPTCY sign on the front....... the bank would not let me in to get my possessions.

It still breaks my heart when I think about it..... :depressed:

Do boats count as tackle/gear?
