Default Thankful on Thanksgiving...

OK, another feel good thread...

I am thankful that the meteor this morning, did not hit my head. (I am very tall).

Seriously... I am so thankful for so much, that I can't list them all!

Sometimes we get into a rut complaining about things. (I do!) But when I stop to think about it, I have SO much! Last year the kids and Bill and I did something fun. 8 days prior to thanksgiving, at dinner time, we all had a list, and we had to write down what we were most thankful for, every night. On Thanksgiving, we read the list. It was really nice.

Perhaps I'll just list the first three that come to mind--

1. I am thankful for things as little as running water and a stove to cook my bird in!

2. I am thankful that I have boots, so when I walk out to the river, (Which I am SO thankful for) my feet don't get wet!

3. I am thankful that David is laying on the couch, all cuddled up in a blanket. He is safe, warm, and well. I think I have to go hug him now!

Happy thanksgiving to all you ifishers and your families.
I'll join in on Jen's thread being thankful for a peaceful day to get together with the family and have a great dinner. Thankful to be able to share a big bag of fresh smoked Wilson river Chinook. Now eveyone get out and do your raindances so the rivers fill and the fresh winter steelhead race upriver.

Ditto all the "usual" things to be thankful for, but in addition to all those, I'm thankful for IFISH.NET

Thanks Jen. And we'll see you at the pizza shindig next week.

Jennie,

We all need to remember what simple pleasures mean to us.

I am thankful for the simple things in life we take for granted everyday.

I thank the Good Lord for them and I try to teach my children where they all came from.

We are spending the Holidays with my family. At my sisters for Thanksgiving and Christmas at my place.

We at Tillamook Bait Company wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and a very Happy Holiday Season!

We are truly grateful for all the wonderful friends we have made this year and for all the support we have received for the past 13 years we've been here.

Thank you all!

Sincerely,

Captain & Marie

It is amazing how we let all the little things bother us when we have so much to be thankful for.

1. I'm thankful for my great wife and my two great son's.

2. I'm thankful my whole family live in the same town so we can all celebrate together.

3. I'm thankful I have a great job.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!! And don't eat to much.....

There are several things that I am thankful for on this Thanksgiving:
1: My wonderful 10yr old son Zachary, when the going gets tough for Dad he is always there to carry me through with a big hug and a smile.
2: My good friends and family who are always there when you need them..and even when you don't.
3: A great job in times that have been proving to be tougher on most American families than originally thought.
4: And finally to the almighty "Chinook"...Oh how I love to bonk you on the head.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you at ifish and all of your families.

<font size="2" face="verdana,arial,helv">LOL!!! I love it!

I am also thankful for cutthroat trout! I just walked out with a Metric spinner in the deep hole and hooked a cutt on accident, but dang are they beautiful.
Truth told, I'd like to bonk one again, someday. It's been ages since I bbqd a cutthoat... maybe I'll have to go South someday, so that I can bonk one again and have a ceremonious cutthroat bbq.

--and one more special thank you! Occasionally I open up my mail, and someone spontaneously has decided it is a good time to donate financially to ifish. That just happened to me! Thank you!!! That is SO fun for me!!! And you know who you are!

Jen

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I am thankful for all that has been mentioned and more..... we have it very well in the big world picture.

I am also thankful for humor, a big part of me and my life so will share some I recieved this morning...

A THANKSGIVING POEM
T'was the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep.
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned - the dark meat and white,
but I fought the temptation with all of my might.
Tossing and turning with anticipation,
the thought of a snack became infatuation.
So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door
and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore
I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
'til all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.
I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky
with a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.
But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees . . .
"Happy eating to all - pass the cranberries, please."

May your stuffing be tasty, may your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes'n gravy have nary a lump,
May your yams be delicious may your pies take the prize,
May your Thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs.
May your Thanksgiving be blessed!!
We have so much to be grateful for...
------------------------------------
Peace to us all......Dog

I'm thankful for my healthy family, both at my home and on Ifish. I'm thankful for being employed in these times of high unemployment and for all the unselfish informative posts I read here. Thankful for Jennie and her vision to make this website happen.
