My Fish story!
Hi everyone, Well here goes, We like to troll for Salmon on the river for which I will not mention, anyway it was about noon and we were getting hungry, so I decided to do My wifely duty ( as my husband calls it Ya right) to cook some hambergers on the Mr cooker. so I put my pole in the pole holder and started cooking. The burgers were about half done when another boat came by and started yelling at us that we had a fish on. Well there went the spatulla I jumped up, jumped over the Mr cooker and got to my pole. I was so excited, that I had a fish on I forgot about lunch. I did bring the salmon in but burnt the burgers. Don't cook a whole lot anymore, on the boat or at home.

Re: My Fish story!
seems like any opportunity they get, fish come along and ruin whatever it is you're doing. i try to do it on purpose (become engaged in something else) trying to get a bite, but it just doesn't work like that i guess. welcome aboard!

Re: My Fish story!
Welcome aboard, spinner4u. My best bites seem to occur when I have a donut in one hand and a cup of hot coffee in the other (or when I get to the point tying a know that I am using both hands and my teeth) FISH ON! D'OH!

Re: My Fish story!
Great Story, now you have one more reason to get out of the kitchen and into the boat. My wife loves to fish also I get more fun watching her land a fish than landing one myself which is a good thing as she is very lucky. And she always lets me know about it. Welcome

Re: My Fish story!
It's always something. Light a smoke, take a drink of coffee, try to eat or be looking the other way. I believe thats why fish jump. There looking for the person not paying attention and mess with you. Then they all dive to the bottom and have a big laugh. May be the guys with bells have an idea! Wouldn't help me I'd be looking around to find the noise. Thanks for the story and welcome. Slamin Salmon

Re: My Fish story!
You are awesome, not only do try and eat while your fishing but you cook it right there too. I just bring the food along as a decoy anymore because I don't get the chance to eat it, my lab loves going fishing with me, I can't figure out why.
