Eekgads! The river is crawling with these!
It rubbed up against my leg! ISH!
It is so facinating out there! I could play on the river all day! I found three beautiful agates, and tons of fish everywhere! They are just whoopin it up out there! Splashes everywhere! I hope they aren't ALL headed upstream!
I have a sign out there for them that says, "Stop here! Jennie's salmon bed and breakfast. We serve great eggs!"
The only one who wanted to stay was the one in the picture.... :depressed:
Think it will work?
Jen

....and to think somebody, somewhere would say, "Hey, it'll smoke up just fine."
I say, "GROSS!!"

Just like the mold on cheese, that white stuff scrapes right off. Means ya don't have to skin the fish when it sorta glops right off.

What do you guys talking about, they've been smoked already.
Reminds me of Ketchikan Creek behind the library and my kids waiding in humpies.

But we all love 'em and cheer 'em on out on the redds. Remember, beauty is only skein deep.

Re: Eekgads! The river is crawling with these!
I remember when I was a little kid fishing in the creek behind my house and some little leeches or something like that attached to my legs. It just about cured me of ever going in the water again.

Re: Eekgads! The river is crawling with these!
My Grade School bus route would take us on Kilchis River Rd. My buddies house was on one side of the road and their barn was on the other. Well, behind that barn is a small creek that empties into the Kilchis. My friend Scott would get off the bus and head straight to the creek this time of year. Our bus would continue on to Kilchis River
Park and turn around. By the time we'd reach Scott's barn he would be standing on the banks of that little tributary with a pitch fork, sticking those fish and tossing them over his shoulder onto the bank. The seagulls numbered in the hundreds and I remember being jealous because of all the fun he was having. Hindsight being 20/20, it really wasnt a very cool thing to do. Oh and I'll never forget when that little creek would get too much rain and overflow its banks and the road. Our bus would have to slow down to cross the high water and I remember all the fish swimming across the road on their way upstream. That little creek held hundreds if not thousands of fish back then. I dont know what it is like now, tho. Hey Jennie, do you know the name of this creek and does
it still hold a chum run like this?
p.s. I just remembered Scott's last name, it was Landolt.
