Works fine if the fish isn't real big! I had to drag a 40" Chinook across a field last week and wished I had some sort of sling that would have held it horizontally. Trying to carry that thing so the tail end didn't drag across the cow **** for over a 1/4 mile was a SOB!! I had to carry a bucket, T-box, rod, and net in the other hand. Wasn't easy! Maybe a wheelbarrow next time! I was glad I ended up losing the second fish.....NOT!

I think I saw some punks down at Pioneer Square with those things attached to their piercings.

I went fishing on the Sandy with a friend about a month ago. He brought along a bag to carry his fish up the hill.
I'd have never guessed unless I saw it.
He uses the bag that those fold up chairs come in. They have a sholder strap and a draw string. Even if you have to drag it, it works great.
I think he said it will hold four silvers or at least two nooks.
Bimart has a Colmen chair and bag on sale for $10.00.

Default Handy fish carrier

Made this about 25 years ago and have hauled many fish up the bank with it
Just run the chain through the gill and out the mouth then clip the snap to the other eye screw
