Re: Roll Call Benefits Emanuel Children’s Hosp!
Any group of children is a blessing to help. Every year my family and I sponser an under privileged family that is down on their luck. We supply turkey dinner, tree, and presents. Also include presents for the parents. I thank god that we are in a position to help others. If you need any more help please feel free to contact me. Tis the season for giving. Count us in

Re: Roll Call Benefits Emanuel Children’s Hosp!
Emanuel is a good choice.
My 2 1/2 year old son was at Emanuel last year during the Holidays and was the receipient of a number of toys/gifts that brightened a fairly unpleasant set of circumstances.
I am with you 100%.
Ripper.

Re: Roll Call Benefits Emanuel Children’s Hosp!
Nice Avatar, ripper.
Get back to work!
OK, ripper, when you read this make a call to a milwaukie area U-Haul and see if you can get them to donate one of their $19/day local trucks to store and forward presents in. If they won't reserve one anyway and Hog and rip's company will foot the bill
I'd do it but the cell is weak and roaming (greetings from Disney World everyone!).
PS - It is cold here! No good fish either!!
Let's fill that sucker up! :-)

Re: Roll Call Benefits Emanuel Children’s Hosp!
Jennie/Smoky - This is a great idea. Do you think we could set up an account here or somewhere and have ifishers who are unable to make it and/or to far away to get a gift here call and make a CC contribution to the gift certificate? The more I think about this the better it gets. We should arrange an account right at Emanual under ifish's name for donations. This would make it real easy for folks who can't attend and/or get gifts to the function. Waddya think?

Roll Call Benefits Emanuel Children’s Hosp!
Great NEWS!!
Does anyone have a problem with Legacy Emanuel Children’s Hospital receiving our help?
I just spoke to the lady at Emanuel, and she said that usually they have to haul the presents for the children with cancer over in carts, and this year they have hardly any presents!!!! She says she has been able to take them by hand. :depressed:
She thinks it's due to the economy...
Anyway, she sent me all the goods, their wish list, and hints...
You can specify if it's for the Hopsital, or for the children themselves. If you buy a big present, like a Nintendo, it should probably stay in the hospital, since they use them there. They even hook them up together, so kids can play together!
I'm so excited to help!!!
Is it a done deal? Can we help them? Oh please!?!?!?!

Re: Roll Call Benefits Emanuel Children’s Hosp!
I love it, count me in. As is mentioned on the other thread, I'll be driving to the meeting from the westside. Anyone that wishes to donate from my area that won't be able to attend the meeting..... I will gladly pick up your donated gift and take it to the meeting. Just let me know. Maybe others from different areas could do the same.
We have 3500 Ifishers, let's flex our muscles and put Christmas smiles on some needy children.

Re: Roll Call Benefits Emanuel Children’s Hosp!
If you can't make it, and still want to be a part of this, simply get out your credit card, call Jessica Walsch at Emanuel, and donate whatever you want to the Ifish Christmas Charity for Kids.
She says: "I will be your contact person for donating and can be reached at 503.413.2808"
She can take your credit card or make arrangements for your donation.

Re: Roll Call Benefits Emanuel Children’s Hosp!
So what's the plan?
Are we giving unwrapped gifts to the kids?
Are they going to wrap them at the hospital?
Do we need wrapping volunteers?
