Default Elochoman River

Does anyone still fish this river. I have not heard anything about this river for quite some years.

I have never heard of the Loc Amen river. Where is it located?

By chance do you mean the Elochomen River in SW Washington?

I haven't fished it in years but it used to have tons of hatchery steelhead and fishing was good at the Beaver Creek hole right below the hatchery. I don't think that hatchery is functional anymore but I think there still is a hatchery run.

Don't worry about how you spelled it. I've seen it printed on maps and in books as Elochoman ("correct"), Elochomin, Elokoman, Alochoman, Locoman, and others.

Is there a good place to put in and take out with a Pontoon Boat? How long is the drift?

Yeah, it's a zipperlip. So, it should be just you and about 500 other guys fishing it on any given weekend.

OK. Since I have never driven there myself and it has been way to many years (20+) since I have been there can someone either send me an email (vinneyx4@aol.com) with directions or maybe we can hook up and see what we can get into.

Just another reason to meet up with people and go fishing GOD life is good.

Yeah, its usually packed but there are also usually lots of fish. The best day I ever had on the Elochoman was in mid-December when about 10"-12" of snow fell overnight. Very few others made it down there but I did and the fish were in thick and biting! Caught 10 that day on eggs in one spot from the bank, on eastside below Beaver Cr hatchery.
