Looking for a good deal on a 40-50 lb. thrust, electric motor, 12V, transom mount. With or without battery.

I have a 1972 SeaSwirl 16' fiberglass boat. Would love to hear if anyone has a boat similar in vintage/size, with an electric trolling motor. If so, what size (thrust rating) they have?

I'm thinking I probably need at least a 50 pound thrust rating (for lake trolling)?

Also, I have cash in hand, ready to buy!!!

Does anyone out there have a boat that's similar to mine that's using an electric trolling motor? I really need to hear what size works for my boat! I have a line on a 40 lb. thrust. Is that enough power???
