Default B-run or a John Day Steelhead?
Yesterday I caught a 35" steelhead on the lower John Day, and my son caught a 26" fish. Both were hatchery bucks, with lots of red color on the sides. Is there a way to tell a B-run fish from the John Day steelhead? I am wondering if the bigger of the two is a B-run...

John day fish are all wild, the big boy was most likely a b run where as the little one was an A run.
