Default Counterweighting a rod

Anyone have suggestions on how to counterweight a 10.5 foot spinning rod?
Also, is the added weight a problem at all?

I do this with my bobber rods, which happen to be 10.5 foot Lami Certified Pros. Just go buy some Dip-It plastic dip. Take a stack of quarters, roll them in tape, place on end, tape to rod, dip three or four times over a couple of days. Done! AND, you always have bus fare......... Rod feels like a feather.

Oversized rod butt cap filled with the appropriate number of quarters. Your rod is balanced and you have change for a phone call when your rig dies.
