Default Elk river gauge

Does anyone out there know if/where you can get real-time data on the Elk River gauge (i.e internet)? Thanks.

Hey where are ya from Diamonback?? Actually the only one I know of is calling the hatchery. They have a daily recording of the flow levels and #'s of fish that have made it in the hatchery the night before. Right now I think it was 3.6 when I checked. Still really low and clear.

Mojo-
Thanks for the link, the closest gauge looks like the Chetco.

TC-
We moved down from Tillamook (Bay City) this last spring. Trying to figure out this South Coast thang. What's the phone number for the hatchery? I've heard the Elk fish's good between about 4.5 and 6.5. Would appreciate any advice/thoughts. I've got a friend coming down from Stayton this weekend (maybe), and would like to get into some chromer's. Sounds like the Elk is to low for really good fishing. Might try the Sixes (?).

Bobber fished Coos tide water the last couple of weeks in October and just caught lots of boots. Do more bright fish come in later on this run, or is it done? Thanks.

The number is in the phone book, I don't have it in front of me otherwise I'd hand it off. As of the water levels I wouldn't fish it over 5.8,.9. At six it's getting ugly. However, there's some definite timing issues on those rivers. The elk will always come into color first, the sixes will be exactly 1 1/2 days after. Not sure why but I don't make the rules. If you want to take him somewhere I'd try the mouth of the elk or the mouth of the sixes right now. You can hike into the sixes, or drive or hike into the elk. Both will have fish around. Have both anchovies and lime green blue foxes #6 on hand. Both will work. Plunk the anchovies and wait but don't set the rod down, you may never see it agian if a 50 lber gets ahold of it. I'll be around somewhere down there with a black dodge with a 4wheeler in the back. If ya see me flag me down and we can compare notes and maybe show you some tips.

As of the coos, the fish get pretty dark high upriver. You pretty much have to get into the fishing early on when the run is just starting to get the nice ones. Later in the year it's a crap shoot. I usually would get one good one for five landed.

I fished the mouth a few years ago and we took out a 40, 35, 18, 24, it was great fishing.
