Default One in Portland

I'm going to be up in Portland next week for a convention/conference. I might be able to sneak away for a couple hours one afternoon.
If you could only go visit one store in the Portland area that carries a complete selection of everything for steelhead/salmon fishing, which one would it be.

At the very least, I'm going to get a nice new set of waders. ...but then I'll have to change my screen name.

Fisherman's Marin in the Jantzen Beach area.

Fishermans Marine/GI Joe's in Delta Park. They are side by side. There's also a Marine World (I think that's what it's called) about a block away.

Agreed. Fisherman's in Delta Park is the place to go. I can't seem to walk out of the place with less than $100 worth of gear.

But I don't need help. Really I don't.

LW,

I agree w/everyone else, Fishermen's is the place you can't beat the selection but if your going to be at the Convention Center you might as well check out Ollie Damon's they carry some stuff that fishermen's don't carry, it's a neat little tiny shop, Their in walking distance from the Convention Center

The third store that AtWorkALot was trying to remember is West Marine... you'll pass them on the way to Fisherman's & GI Joes.

The best part of FMS, is that they have all of the 2nd mortgage papers right there. No more running around! Jeez,if I can walk out of there without spending 100 bucks I am doing real good. Besides fishing and hunting stuff, they have real raingear. Ya know, the kind that says "Grundens" on the suspenders. And flatfish in good colors and sizes. And bead chain. And commercial snap do hickeys. I gotta go and fill out my forms now...

Grunden's!! Right on!! Spendy, but worth every penny. I pity the fool who gets between me & my rain gear!

If you're driving stop by Sportsman's Warehouse in Salem. I don't think their salmon/steelhead gear is quite up to par yet but, if you're into hunting and fishing it's like a candy store.

If you went to FMS in Oregon City, you could wet a line in the Clackamas or the Willamette while in the neighborhood.
