Default Biggest Steelhead so far..........

I caught this guy on the coast today. 38" long by 19" girth. Came in right at #17 on my scale, my biggest Steelhead to date. Pink pearl corkie on #12 leader.

Jon

That photo doesn't do the fish justice. Did you take the pic with a camera phone?

FEAR NO FISH! , my dad took the pic with his Sony digital but to say the least it has issues at times

fishin62, I have to say that my first thought on this fish was its a summer but Im not so sure now. All the summers I have seen come out of this river have had a vent clip as well as the adipose clip. This fish only has the adipose clipped and it cut BRIGHT RED, brighter than a couple of the for sure chrome bright winters we have taken and the sacs were developed like a winter would be not a summer. Its belly turned a grey tint after thumping and being bled also like a summer. My guess is its just a late summer but Im not complaining a bit.

Jon

Mastercaster,
Didn't mean it to sound like a dis, just wish ya had a picture right out of the water. They make the best pics! The thing that is so great about a fish like that is that you will never forget it!

I have Sony digital cameras and I have found that they make a picture that looks just like the scene being pictured. In other words, they do not enhance the photo in any way. That can be good and bad.

Nice fish!!! I have a Sony digicam that takes very similar pics. it is a low Mb and gets real blurry if you use the zoom ( the closer you can get, the better the pic.
Anyway, a most excellent steelie, I am sure you will remember that one for a while!!!!
