Come on everyone correct me if need be on the first three and Boonwhat any help!!!!

Boondogging ... it's like side drifting, sort of. Does that help?

Boondoging is is a fishing technique simalar to side drifting.

Unfortunatly a cark isn't always a tuna. One can cark a deer or a salmon too.

Cark as in carcass.

and a tule isn't necessarily a dark fish. it's a specific species of salmon that happens to get dark very quickly and tends to spawn in the lower river. when caught in salt water, tules can provide some darned good salmon flesh.

Boondogging is drift fishing from a boat that isn't attached to anything. One cast and you can work your bait for miles, Ok, maybe a few 100 yds or so.

Boondogging, aka, Boomdogging, aka, Boondoggling: Allowing the boat to slip down stream at the rate that your gear is drifting with the baits presented to the side of the boat. Speed and direction can be controlled with oars, electric motor or trolling motor. The trick is to present the bait in as natural a way as possible while maintaining constant contact.

Boondoggling: when one appears to be busy doing something important, when in fact is doing nothing but looking busy doing something which in fact is nothing which in this case is something. HUH? ,

Boondoggling- Never tried it in Oregon, but during the 2 king runs on the Kenai that's how everybody fishes. Kinda tricky at first, but once you get used to it it's a piece of cake. Like crabbait says, it's a side drift. I let the current (BIG current if you've ever fished the Kenai) take care of the speed while I use the motor to keep the boat perpendicular and off the rocks. Get a lot of foul-hooks along the way.

We caught a Tule at Buoy 10 that smoked up great! Yes, it is a specific species of salmon. It's really hard to tell the difference from a Chinook when you catch a really fresh one.

BC,

Wrong definition, we are talking fishing here. Seducing the canine is not there either.

BC,
Fog and chilly, just above freezing. The snow level is around 6000' so you should have fair road conditions except for some black ice. Watch out in of the La Pine area. If you have time contact me when you hit KF and we can have a cup of coffee. Drive carefuly.
