..A HIGH WIND WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS MORNING FOR
THE CENTRAL OREGON COAST...THE NORTH OREGON COAST...AND THE SOUTH
WASHINGTON COAST...

A STRONG PACIFIC COLD FRONT NEARING THE OREGON & SOUTH WASHINGTON
COAST THIS MORNING WILL PRODUCE SOUTHERLY WIND ALONG THE HEADLANDS
AND COMMUNITIES NEAR THE SHORE OF 35 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS 60
MPH. WINDS WILL DECREASE LATER THIS MORNING AS THE FRONT MOVES
INLAND. SOUTH WINDS OF 40 MPH WERE REPORTED AT THE COLUMBIA RIVER
BAR AT 5 AM & PEAK WIND GUSTS TO 55 MPH WERE REPORTED AT FLORENCE
AT NEAR THE SAME TIME.

DRIVERS OF LIGHTLY LOADED TRUCKS & OTHERS IN HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES
SUCH AS MOTOR HOMES & THOSE TOWING TRAILERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR
DIFFICULT DRIVING CONDITIONS.

Why do they get to shout in all caps and I don't?
Guess they are newbies, those NOAA guys!

And to think that I was going to play hooky from work today and try to toss a bobber...

It is blowing so hard here right now that I can't even get my dogs to go outside for their morning jaunt in the yard! :shocked:

I guess I will put my eggs back in the freezer... :depressed:

Looks like it may calm down tomorrow, I may come down with the flu . Cough cough cough, yep I feel it comming on fast :grin: . I wonder how bad the wind will be at Mamaloose? May have to bank it up river.

Go take care of that "fever" you have. The doctor would recommend good fresh air for those lungs.

Fishing fever, that is. We all have it bad. The only way to cure it is to limit out. Your'e cured until next time.

Actually keep out the rod and grab the kite... Thats the way my dad did it when we were kids..... it was fun... used old rods and reels to fly the kites .....
