Sundays Catch
Linked up with first person I have met off of IFISH. "Fishfinder1" has a decent day after I had to show him what to do Just kidding Bud. Last time I show him where the fish lay, however he would have figured it out. Great fisherman and great company.
Not allot of fish to report, but we worked for them. One hatchery, one brude stock.
I had my chance and turned some chrome for a spilt second. Then Jim hooked up a couple of times landing the hatchery fish. Turned chrome on the other.
Drifting single corkie in addition to bobber and jig.
(edit to help the pictures show up. Press the "image" tag, and then fill out the text box to get them to show up in a post. jen)

Nice fish! I don't need specifics but if you don't mind me asking, what river were you on? It kind of looks like the Kalama.

Re: Sundays Catch
excellent fish
in regards to people giving out zipper lip info and also complaing about the hordes of people on particular waters. Is it possible, that like most sports, the popularity of fishing has just increased over all, and it's not just a few select who do it these days? I'm doubtful that the wilson is packed with people because of others saying they caught a fish. I would have to assume that the wilson has grown in popularity because of it's proximity to the portland area. Looks at the states over all population growth since the early 80's. Maybe all these people moved here because of the fishing information someone gave them.

Everyone knows that most of our rivers are going to see and are seeing steel. Each fish is from another river. The right guess get's a red corkie

Jennie, you're right. Believe everything Hog and Skrimmy say. I've fished with Hog for more than eighteen years and have been on a number of trips with Skrim.
Now that we are straight on that, I have a bridge over the Willamette River in downtown Portland that you can own for the paltry sum of.........

Fast Action,
I know exactly where he is and I'll ask that you not take anymore people there. I'm already showing up a 0430 to get the rock. I memory serves me right, wasn't I the one who showed you that hole? I'll make sure that I don't leave my
moniker up anymore. I'd never show the pictures of my favorite hole. Nice fish Dang you swing shifters anyway. Nice fish leave some for me.

I knew I should have left my boat down there for the winter! Catching Steelhead off the transom tied to the dock!

Re: Sundays Catch
I will tell you what- getting mad over water isn't very healthy for your body. Water is water and fish swim in every river. Everybody is going to fish where ever there is fish. I know I am going to fish where ever there is fish. Now unless your name is on the river then it would be a different story - but being that it is natures river, we will all fish where we want to. No need to argue over it or even get mad.

Re: Sundays Catch
Trout Troller and Fishfinder1,
You got lucky fishfinder. I was actually getting lot's of bumps. I just never set the hook. I did not want to make you feel bad As for a secret, Well, that hole is far from a secret. I have a plan this year. I have learned allot about bobber fishing with jigs since I have been back there. If the hole is filled with people that do not know it is there then I will move on to the next spot.
Trout Troller,
I cannot remember if showed me that hole or not  . That has always been a great spot. The bad thing is that people see us yanking fish all the time when it is good and they show up. I wish I ownde that stretch, but below is a good one too.
See ya on the bank.
PS I would have it good if I did not have to take my woman into work in the morning.
She may have to suffer and walk to the max when it get's really good

Re: Sundays Catch
 This is a fun game. Can I play? Upper reaches of the Columbia. Isn't that where they dug up those bones of the native american? Found tons of arrow heads and pottery on that same beach. BigFoot helped me land a 22lb native there once but, he kept it stating something about being a mythical creature and not giving a damn about the WDFW/USFS. I didn't argue because he posed with me for a self timer picture. Anyone want to see it email me and I'll shoot you a copy.

Re: Sundays Catch
Its ok Trouttroller, only,,, a fiew thousand people know of that hole or its general proximity, given the way the river drops so rapidly, and the amount of resting area for so,,, a quarter mile of river, one could only be a fool not to recognize the "slots" this "hole" produces. I have fished this stretch of river before and do appreciate solitude, however, if you truely want to keep something a secret you cant show anyone!!!
