Default Grand Rond Steel (pic)

Fished the Grand Ronde Friday 11/28 and had a pretty decent day. Went 7 for 9 between Dad, Brother, and myself over a 5 hr period. Most all fish hooked on jigs. I found this little girl drifting a Seducer pink worm and pearl pink Corky. Great weather as well.

i was on the lower Grand rond on the 29 of nov and had no luck at all. and the weekend before that i was down there and did not see a thing. were you fishing, up by boggans? and were on the river was it. also what kind of water were you fishing. Deep pools, fast runs, tail outs, ext...?

Deepwater

We were fishing below Troy. Pretty much all the types of water you mentioned above. Seemed to catch all fish in about 5 to 8 ft of water moving at a walking speed. I got my fish in about 3 ft of water about 10 to 20 ft off the shore. Also had one take in about 4 ft of water in a slow tail out section, on a Copper Steel-lee with Si-wash hook but lost it.

CM, Thanks for the report. Sounds like you had a great trip. Did you fish the Snake and how was it? Glad you made it back. I plan on spending part of this week down at Troy looking for a whitetail and a steelhead. Is this a Grand Ronde version of "surf and turf"?
