Default Curado Pricing-Bargain!

I think it's a mistake, but right now GI Joe's has Curado BSF which usually run $149.99 priced at $119.99. From what I've seen, this is a great price, and I think it's only good til next Saturday.

This is a sweet reel.

And this surprises me how?

I just bought one at full price about 3 weeks ago over the internet......

Why is it that every time I buy something it goes on sale shortly thereafter??

Oh well...... don't miss the chance, it is truly a sweet reel...... I have it on my TH model 1026 castin' rod. Very nice combo.....

I think the 117.99 is for the base model, not the BSF.

That site has some good pricing though.

Keta,
75 degree water? Where did that come from? Not as a jerk (on my part) Just wondering..

I bet 75 degree water would be good for TUNA.
Uh Oh I said the T word.

Klamath Lake gets over 75 degrees every year (71 degrees when the salmon were dying down stream this year). This water is what I put on my pasture. If it went down river it would kill more fish than the lack of water did this year. The key to salmon survival in the Klamath Dranage is the cold Trinity River water that is being diverted to the Sacramento Valley. The majority of the fish killed this year were Trinity River fish.

GI Joe's sale appears to be on the UBS Curado reel, not the BSF Curado that I recently paid $149 for......

Correct me if I'm wrong about that..... I just checked their website, and sure enough, it's $119...... but for the UBS, not the BSF model......

I don't have the ability to scan, cut and post, but I promise it says BSF for $119.99. The little picture even shows the BSF and it has the holes drilled in the spindle.

It's on the upper right hand corner of page 6.

"Prices good Sunday, Nov. 3 - Saturday, Nov. 9"

It also has a Abu Eon for $79.99 (Still too much)

Perhaps your looking at the Gorge Pricing Premium version. Or maybe it's the exchange rate from crossing into the 541 area code.

Ok...... if you're right Bull, I stand corrected.

I didn't notice the details you mentioned.

How about this..... I'll order one, and if it's not the BSF version, I'll send it your way for the full amount......

Work for you?

Sorry, I've maxed out at 2. And this is on top of telling my wife about what a deal it is...Christmas is coming you know. I just walked into the Tualatin Joes and bought'em.

Good luck. Let me know if they'll honor it on line. Tim, you're really taking it in the shorts. You're paying sales tax too.

Maybe it's the 509 and not the 541 exchange rate.

Just got my reel for $119. Joe's even had a yellow sales tag on them. They had to honor the price. This is my 2nd BSF. Super reels.

Ok....... just checked with GI Joe's.

The reel that's on sale for $119 is NOT the BSF version. it's the UBS version, minus the new Free Spool technology on the BSF Curado.

If you bought one from GI Joe's and it doesn't say "CU-200BSF" on the side of the reel, it's not a BSF....... the BSF has 5 ball bearings. The one on sale at GI Joe's has 4.

Not that it isn't a good deal or a good reel, but it ain't the same reel I have on my TH 1026 castin' rod.....

Ok..... I feel better now. And geek, don't wait for me to buy a DVD. I didn't pay $30 over regular price for this reel after all.

GI Joes pulls this type of stuff all the time. If it wasn't for their prices, I would never shop there. Here is the ad directly from the GI Joes web site with the BSF reel clearly shown at $119 (sorry it doesn't show up well, but I also have the ad at home at it does say BSF)

.

Just bring in a print out of the add (go to www.gijoes.com) and tell them you want what's advertised on the page.

Ok wetaline...... and if Bull's reel says BSF on it's side..... I stand corrected.

I have one. And mine say's BSF on it's side.

After talking to "George" at GI Joe's..... I'm convinced what they're selling isn't a BSF model.

Unless....... somebody tells me they've bought one from GI Joe's since the sale began, and it says "BSF" on the side of the reel.......

What do you say Bull? Does it say "CU-200BSF" on the side?

And how do you reconcile 4 v. 5 bearings?

I'm two hours from Portland, so going in with an ad would cost me the difference in gas......

And a lot more in time lost....... Anybody want to pick me up one?

I have open seats once in awhile that might compensate for your time and I'd be happy to pay for shipping......

Actually Tim,

Mine says CU-201 BSF since I reel on correct side.

Pinky swear (and that's BIG, just ask my nephew) - I walked out the door of Joes with the BSF in hand having paid $119.99

So...... who's willing to pick one up for me? 19 Stryker... a favor for a favor? Mid-Columbia? Coho's on their way soon??

Just got off the phone with "Stacey" with GI Joe's and she'll be looking into it, and lettin' me know tomorrow. :depressed:

There's defiinitely some snafu at GI Joe's.....

If I can get another 200 BSF at 30 bucks cheaper than I paid for the last one, I'd be a happy camper.......

Thanks all, for your patience with me.....

Ya might check ahead before traveling, Joes in Delta Park was sold-out by Monday evening. I had to settle for a rain-check, making sure that it said 'BSF Curado'.

I don't think it's the drag as much as it is the fact that it free spools much easier, allowing you to cast a country mile......
