Default Lake Scanewa

Went to the upper cowlitz this morning to try for some of the "planter" coho that they have been trucking up there from the Barrier Dam. Last year it was a blast.....over 20,000 coho were trucked up there, and it was impossible not to limit in a couple hours.

Today was no good though.......the water was like THICK chocolate milk...saw the fish truck dump once....but you would have had to smack the fish in the head in order for him to see your offering......gonna take some time for that lake/reservoir to clear up.

We got there, and I instantly thought to myself....crap, should have stayed home and fished the East Fork of the Lewis. Maybe I jinxed us from the get go? Oh well!

I had one of those days also if you happened to read my Hammond crabbing report.
We can second guess ourselves but sometimes we just don't make the right moves.
We can't always get it right.

A friend of mine from Oregon stopped by this evening on his way back from the barrier dam and I told him I could have saved him the wasted trip if he had called me.
