My first post!
Not to sure what to say yet but I am sure I will figure this out soon.
I own a 1992 28' Carver and keep it down in Hammond during the summer months and in Scappose during the winter.
My latest fishing Trip was on a well known member of IFISH's boat he took my son and I out Bottom fishing, I had never did the 400 foot deep thing before. That was the biggest kick in the pants I have had fishing for awhile, well since our Tuna trips that was.
Crabbing has been good and are really starting to get full.
I thought by leaving the coast this year I was going to get a chance to dry up but I heard of the crowd I will be with this winter and oh boy I think Scappose is in trouble!

Re: My first post!
Let me be the first to welcome you aboard. Need more details about the fish story... what did you catch, what were you fishing for, what was the weather like... etc.

Re: My first post!
Well first of all it was pretty foggy and a tad drizzly, we went and set some crap pots, crossed a pretty mild bar and had alot of wind chop for about the first 15 miles. Once we got to where we were fishing it was Sweatshirt weather and tons of green guys and a few Lingcods.
We had one boat follow us out and fished with us.
When we came back to cross the bar is was at max ebb and foggy then crap. It was quite rolly coming back in but the worse thing is not being able to see.
Once we got back in we had to go get t he pots and did ok with that also.
Planning on taking that trip after we get out limit of Salmon next year to make for one awesome fishing trip.

Re: My first post!
Thank you all for replying to my post.
Ya Miss B Haven that trip should sound a tad familar, and by the way thanks again.
Going down this weekend for some more crabbing, will be the last weekend since I will be bringing my boat home on the 9th of Nov.
I use my boat for Crusing the River and camping on the river and Ocean fishing, plus do some Sturgeon fishing with it, Havent yet took it tuna but I am sure next year it will make a few trips out there.
I had better get to work thanks again.

Re: My first post!
Dogfish I seen that Mel had told you the name of my boat (No Cents) its actually NO with the money symbol of cents but that wouldnt work on here so I just spelled it out!
What is the name of your boat?
Are you ready for a good ride home this Weekend Mel? I wont get to Leave until Sat. around 4:00 pm and have another boat following me, so I figure we will be navigating in the dark with radar and gps. Should see you around 5:30 or so just in time for Dinner so have a drink ready for me since I am sure I will have lots of cathing up to do with you all by that time!

Re: My first post!
No Cents - The dark will be the least of your concerns if the wind warnings hold up. Let's hope they don't make it past the bridge, the foreliers are wrong, or we get lucky and a window opens! Keep the radio and the cell on, we'll be in touch. PS - cold one will be waiting in Cathlamet.
