Default I Need help finding a affordable good pontoon

Does anyone know where i can find a good 10-12 foot pontoon for a fairly good price? I have to have one that can carry me i weigh 290lbs, and i cant afford a $1000 if i could i would just buy one of those lovely used drift boats i keep seeing. I would greatly apreciate being pointed in the right direction. Thank you

Doug

Check out Costco Doug, I just saw a nice pontoon in there yesterday near the coolers and such. I don't recall the price but I am sure it is reasonable.

Deals can be had all the time on craigslist. I almost staked it out before finding mine on here. Also a benefit of Craigslist is most of the time sellers are negotiable on pricing.

Make sure you get one with a leaning bar too. 10-12 foot true white water toons aren't cheap. Realistically you are looking at 6-8 hundred bucks if you are lucky. You can find 9 footers for 2-4 hundred bucks but DON'T use them in white water. Lakes and slower moving rivers with small waves are pretty much the limit of these smaller toons. I've got one of each and The kalama in the summer is my limit for my 9 footer. The Sol Duc in the winter is my play ground in the 10 foot Water Readyw/ lean bar.

Sorry Doug but a grand is pretty much the starting point for a 10-12 foot pontoon. If it's any consolation, there aren't many "lovely" drift boats at the thousand dollar price point. Either the boat is beat, the trailer is a rust bucket or it's HOT.......

Best of luck to you though. Post pics if you get one................
