Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is...
Stocking stuffer ideas for Santa:
A bottle of Marie's Shrimp Scent
A new spool of lead, one with the hole in it, one solid.
Corkies, in every color, but especially lots of pink pearls.
New hooks in every size.
A couple packages of pretty yarns, put neatly in a Holdzit vest pack, all ready to go.
A sampler box of First Cast Jigs .
A new Tie Master Tool .
What else?
Can you fit a new Willie boat in your stocking?
Or a new Lami?

Jennie,
As hard as you work, I would think a week off to some place like Hawaii or the Bahamas would be your wish!
I can guarantee you that a set of plane tickets fit nicely into a stocking!
Keep up the good work! SD

Re: Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is...
All I want is a good year of fishing. Not a ton of fish just enough to keep life interesting.
I will be happy if it is no more then a constant bite from a school of bluegill. The take down of a Salmon or Steelhead. The smash and grab of a Smallmouth. The gentle sip of a trout taking a fly from the surface.
Mostly I want the companionship of friends and relatives on these trips. Their safe trips and their good health.
I admit that I wish that I could win the lottery so I could buy that new sled, but I have enough tackle and things to go with it.
And most of all, I wish for a good year for all the Ifish community.

I would like one day out of the next 365 days to be there when what ever it is, is happening. I want to be the guy who truthfully say" should have been here yesterday"
and in my stocking a little thing call TR-1 GOLD

I second the Minnkota autopilot, only with the new co pilot feature coming out in January. This is a wireless remote the size of a box of cigarettes. 65 LBS OF THRUST! Also new wireless spotlights for my boat.

Peace, love and happiness. Well, I guess I could expand the list since I already have two out of the 3 (Thanks Toni!).
So, how about Peace, and a winning lottery ticket so I can take all my ifish friends fishing every day we want to go!

Re: Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is...
i've decided to seriously get into jig fishing this year. no more putzing around about it. i'm gonna need a really good jig setup. nice spinning reel, good line, and a 9.5' or 10.5' rod for flipping those tiny jigs out there. the wife already has it on her list for me if i don't go out and buy it all in the next couple of weekends. nah, i'll let her get it for me. in the meantime, i can gather more jig tying materials.
i'd be happy with just a few of those "shoulda been here yesterday" trips. catch a limit? what would that be like?

I am wanting to learn jig fishing under a bobber or dink. I want to learn to tie jigs.
Under the tree? Any thing related to jig fishing for steelhead.

I just wish that my unemployed friends find a better job than the one that fell out from under them (Boeing, Lucient, CF, etc), and that the recovering folks keep recovering.
That I have the opportunity to share the blessings that have fallen in my lap and that everyone gets to catch at least half as many fish as I do!

Re: Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is...
Jennie asks "Can you fit a new Willie boat in your stocking?" That sounds so familiar, but I can't remember where I heard that question. It wood take a big sock to cover the model Willie boat I would like to have. But there are more important priorities for this Christmas!
My Christmas wish list, in order of preferrence
First, I want peace for all the world
Second, I want all the children of the world to never have to go hungry
Third, I want all countries of the world to become one big happy country
Fourth, I want all our rivers to run clean and full of fish
Fifth, I want to have most of those rivers to myself, and everybody else to have to pay me to fish in them
Sixth, I want 4 million pounds of the finest fresh salmon egg skeins
Seventh, I want the top 25 northwest guides to cure all those eggs up with their best personal cures.
Eighth, I want 157 freezers to keep all those eggs in
Nineth, I want to own the GLoomis and Lamaglass fishing rod factories
Tenth, I want to own the Willie Boat factory and it's current inventory of finished fishing boats
In closing this list Santa, I know you think this is asking for a lot and a bit selfish for reqests 5 thru 10. But I have been a very good boy and I did think of peace for all the world first.

Re: Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is...
What I want for Xmas-
I want Congress to pass a law that nobody can even mention Christmas in public until at least Dec. 10th!! BAH HUMBUG!! (sorry- A little tired of the retailers whining already. Xmas is not about commercialism )
Seriously though, I'm with crabbait; Jobs for all. Fishing, hunting, bowling, whatever...it's all pretty insignificant when the unemployment bennies are gone, the car's out of gas and you don't know where your next meal is coming from. Been there, done that. Hang in there!

CASH!!!!!
Then I could buy ****** a haircut  Hogmaster a new net  , and fund Jerry's hatcheries for a decade.
Seriously, I often think about how fun it would be to come into a LOT of cash and be able to buy things for folks. Pay off friends houses or just walk up to a bank fisherman and hand him the keys to a boat. I think this would bring such great joy to me.
Maybe some day
Oh yeah, and everything the wife ever wanted.
