Default Woo-Hoo I\'m a Cutthroat!! New member story.

Hey, I've made it to Cutthroat status so figured I'd better give you all a fish story!

First, let me say I have had a great time reading everyone's posts. There is a lot to be learned from all of you!

Now for my story. My husband and I were fishing for sturgeon on the Multnomah Channel. We had been getting lots of shakers rangeing from about 15" to about 36", when I got yet another bite. I set the hook and started reeling.I told my husband that it was probably another small one when my line started ripping off the reel. About that same time that small one came out of the water and I about fell over the side of the boat. It was no small one!! It was the biggest fish I had ever hooked. I fought it for about 20 minutes and it came out of the water 2 more times before I got it up to the boat. It was so disappointing to realize it was too darn big!! We measured it and it was 64". It was something I will never forget!!!

I forgot to mention the fact that I had also caught a 41" sturgeon a couple of weeks earlier also on the Multnomah Channel. Hopefully I can actually get a keeper this fall!
