Default Vedder for the first time

I went to the vedder/chilliwack river for my first time yesterday. The river is beautiful full of fish, unforunatly due to being late in the season full of chum's we did see some kings caught, but the key is getting the right spot. we drove up and had to purchase our catch cards etc and the store didnt open til 700.
so we bid our time catching chums til some guys limited out and left I finaly got a king ("we call them springer's up here A") it was the biggest I ever hooked and it got off at the bank.@#$% I did bring one home about 27 pounds, fish were still good enought to smoke.
a couple silver were caught lower in the river. the chums showed us a good time. I finally got the float (**** ) method down and it was time to go. We crossed at Sumas and ate at Bobs Beer and burger's Highly recommended
great food and some great taxidermy work on display including some hugh racks (deer/elk not female) (but here were some of them too
a 54 pound salmon. over all a great trip for all 9 of us....DJ
