Default What's up with Cathedral Park for Saturday

What is it looking like for tomorrow? How is the hill going down to the train tracks? Any help would be great. I am trying to decide right now. What is the latest report?

I want to help dig if you guys are still planning on digging at 8:00. Let me know if you need help. If no one else is going I am going to sleep in. Is anybody with me for digging?

I drove to Scappoose Bay Marina today to check it out. From what I could see the Cath. Park ramp is very icy... seemed that section of HWY 30 had the most snow and ice. Scappoose Bay did not seem that bad if you had a 4-Wheel drive. I am still considering going tomorrow as it will be one of my only chances to fish in the next 10 days!

5 cents, I went to scappoose bay today at about 3:00 pm and the ramp was not in that great of shape. looked very icy still and the water was frozen from the bank out about 100 yards or more. What time did you go? If you think you could launch and are going, let me know. I may meet yall down there and attempt it as well. At least there will be another rig there to help each other out.

That bank ice in the bay is more or less slush... I gave it the ole stick poke and rock toss test  I walked down the ramp to the water and the ice layer is thin and easy to break. I talked to another guy there and he said he was going to launch early AM and run his rig with chains up and down a few times too. That ramp is not too long so if we have to XTC and I are going to shovel it off.

I want to go fishing real bad

I'll be there about 9 AM or so.

If you go to Cathedral park you had better have a large 4 wheel drive to get back up ramp and the hill....

9 pm i just went down to cath.park and shoveled 2 trails- drove right down to the water it is all pretty much slush. water is running under the snow . this was very easy to shovel i dont imagine there is going to be to much trouble.
i will be launching at 7am or so. just be sure to use the road from the police station to lampros steel as they cleared that with a plow today.
