new wigglers
Just got my order today of some new colors and sizes of wigglers. The dark copper looks deadly. Also got the new lil' wigglers- they are a match of the old pee wee warts. They also have a hot-n-tot lure. Do a search on Brads Lures and you find the dealer. Good prices, too.

Re: new wigglers
Yes they do have some good colors but there is still a few colors of the old style wiggle warts that I sure wish they would start making. Like the AV216. This is a proven salmon killer.

Re: new wigglers
Lure Dragger don't despair. The old style Warts are on the way back. Not Brads, not the Normark cheapos but the old style coming back. They finally listened to the Northwest Fishermen. They will be using the original molds. This news comes from the latest edition of Fishing Retailer. AV66 come to papa!

Re: new wigglers
FNF, I saw you out Thanksgiving day but I was late for dinner or I would have come over and introduced myself. Picked up two fish in 4 hours and metallic red seems to be the color of choice lately.

Re: new wigglers
Fear no fish, they are not going to make all the old colors that they use to. I had some one mail me the list of the colors that they were going to make and it seemed like there was only 12 on the list. I don't remember seeing the AV66. I will check it when I get back home on Monday and send it to you.

Re: new wigglers
According to the magazine article, they were going to produce all the old colors, time will tell. They are supposed to be on the shelves in December.I can only hope.
Sr1 5, We were backtrolling plugs but didn't get any rips. Nights are better!

Re: new wigglers
I've been told by a reliable source that they are only coming out with 12 colors.
Brad's has 70 colors with more on the way and they work ever bit as good as the old warts if not better.
I have never had to tune a single one out of the box yet and have caught numerous fish on all of them.
Which color is the AV66?

Speaking of wigglers, Danno.
You left a bottle of shrimp juice and a copper colored wiggler (new in box) in my car on Friday.

Re: new wigglers
Btbw,
The old storms had a deeper thunk to them then the higher pitched Brads. I am talking about the clear bill old style. Do a shake test and you can hear the difference. Wind River Springers can sure tell the difference. Out of the 74 keeper Springers we got, 4 were caught on spinners, 2 on Brads and the rest were caught on the old style storms.
AV66 is a color we call orange crush. Clear bill, Orange body, red scale on sides. I like that color almost as much as Reba.

Re: new wigglers
Oh, you shouldn't have said anything about copper.
I've been telling everybody the BW-29!
Actually all the fish I have caught are on the #29 color both wiggler and wee wigler and the #08 (pickle) in the wiggler size.
I know a lot of other fishermen that have done real well on some other colors also including Bug_Flicker hammering all those big hook nose 20lb. slabs (coho) on the BW-16.
Got to get me a couple of those too.
I've been hearing good things about copper and thought I would try it.
So I loose and it's your gain.
See if she catches fish.
Also don't post about that top secret shrimp sauce I left in your rig please.
I don't want sturgeon to become extinct!
I don't know about salmon or sturgeon but that sauce is deadly on sturgies.
Thanks again for the trip the other day.

Re: new wigglers
FNF, if you can find one the AV216 will catch more salmon than anything. My girlfriend and I hooked 18 and landed 10 in 2 1/2 days at the wind over labor day weekend this year. We caught over 30 fall chinook above McNary this year on that same color. The AV216 is not on their list to start making again either.

Re: new wigglers
BS Fishtales.com
A lot of their product is not on the website yet.
Duane needs to update it.
FEAR NO FISH,
I mentioned to Brad what you wrote and he said that they were aware of that.
I just caught him in passing and didn't look into it very much.
I'm not familliar with the old wart numbers as last year was the first time I used plugs and did very well on wiggler's with approx. 100 fish landed and another couple dozen broke off and don't have a clue how many I lost.
Is the plug you were using a mag?
I used wigglers and wee wigglers and had absolutely no problem catching coho and chinook on them.
I became real well known on the Kalama tidewater and Cowlitz last year because of my success with the wiggler's and converting some snaggers over to using them (made real fishermen out of them) and successfully promoted the uncrowded lower Cowlitz fishery using wiggler's.
Lot's of fishermen caught lot's of fish last year on wiggler's and they are a household name around here anymore.
So they (wiggler's and wee wiggler's) do catch very well!
Next time I see Brad or Duane I will ask them about the rattle that you mentioned and suspect it must be the mag wiggler.
I posted this earlier this year after I found it by accident on a Google search of my name (I knew there wouldn't be anything under my name on Google - Whoops).
Unfortunately the wealthy realtor is not me, just the poor guy with the big fish.
This is my largest ever coho and it was caught last year on a BW-29.
Bug_Flicker has posted several 20# class coho's his wife has caught on the BW-16.
23# Wiggler coho

Re: new wigglers
Btbw,
We use Mag Warts at the Wind. Ask Brad when he is going to have his lighted lure finished. Am very interested in it. Don't want to bore you with any pics of the 258 salmon we put into my boat this year!

Re: new wigglers
Will share a pic of some salmon war veterans. AV66 is in the middle. Look close, those hooks are powder coated with glow in the dark paint.

Re: new wigglers
FNF, I did find my list of the colors that storm is going to start making. The AV66 is not one of them on the list. According to who I talked to they are only going to make 12 of the original colors. I have e-mailed a guy who has a lot of the old colors that he is willing to sell and ask him if he had any of the AV66's and how many. If you are intersted I will let you know what he comes up with. Have you ever tried the 216 for salmon?
