Default Amermans eggs at GI Joes

I know his eggs are good, but how do they hold up when fishing. I have seen them in the cooler, but want to know if I am going to get the white blob effect after a few casts. Anyone know?

Thanks

FA, I have not used his own eggs but I have cured some of my eggs in his cure. I guess it depends on the skiens themselves, I mean, if the eggs are smaller,(less mature) they will hold up better in heavier currents and vise versa. I like to use mature eggs in slow drifts, and as for tight skeins I will cure them in borax and Jello for drifting. I think steelhead prefer this cure as opposed to a heavy sulfite cure.

I personally guarantee that they are good eggs Dave........If they are all whited out then you should have changed them a while before. He takes pride in his products and backs up their quality. Are you going to float tomorrow.........I might see you.........

I've used the jarred eggs from the store before and have not had any problems with them, including the "white blob" effect you describe. They should do well for you.

I have used his eggs a lot in tide water for springers, they work great. I don't use the same bait for very long, and have never had the white slime gunk problem. I found scotts eggs at lees camp on hwy 6 and also a little expresso shop in tillamook. the second expresso north of the co-op.
I think they still sell them there.

What formula? For Salmon or Steelhead? I think there are 2 different formulas and 2 different colors for each formula? Correct?

Thanks all for helping fast action out. I will stand by my eggs at Gi Joes or any of our other stores. We pride ourselves in the fact that they should catch fish for you, that they have good color and will hold up to being fished. We feel our eggs are the best cured eggs on the market and want you to feel that way also after buying them. If you ever have a problem with any of my product feel free to email or call me direct. This is why my phone number is one every container.

Scott, I got some nice eggs on Friday, was going to put half up in your steelhead cure and half up in my steelhead cure and fish them head to head and see what happened.

Unfortunatly all the GI Joes stores I called were out of the steelhead cure and had been for a couple weeks. (they had the salmon in stock) The counter guys said they were trying to get more but it wasnt coming thru the pipe.

I was coming back from Washington and called Hillsboro, Beaverton, Delta Park, Tualatin, and Sherwood. Considering the time of year, you might want to get that fixed.
