Default A Suprise CR Nook

Took my dad fishing today as it has been 5 days since I last went fishing. I started to feel sick, man 5 days is a long time

Any way went out to fish for coho off the mouth of the Sandy. There were only 5 or 6 other boats on the river. Not much current when we got there so we started pulling plugs. Nothing for about an hour so I decided to put a spinner on.

Put a little escence on it and dropped it in the water to let it sink as we were trolling. Stripping line out, clicked the bail over and felt a little nibble nibble... rod start so bend... rod starts to buck! Right on FISH

She was fighting deep and after about 10 seconds new it was not a coho. Finally got her up to the boat and in the net. What the heck I will never look a gift nook in the mouth  She must of had 3 lbs of nice eggs too... a bonus!

Meat looked pretty good. It will smoke up good. Need to smoke a fish for the extended family as they have all been asking!

We had one other take down that did not stick and my dad had one on for about 4 head shakes and then it came off. There were a fair amount of bright fish jumping as well as some dark looking monsters.

Good way to spend the day on a Wednesday no matter what

Passed you on the Banfield with your “ifish.net do you” on your cooler as I was coming back from bank fishing the Sandy. Also observed you all the way over to the west side, Murray/Cornell/185th way, I was wondering where you fished and knew I could read a report tonight. I don’t have anything to report for me, except saw a lot of dark fishing rolling, one on the bank at Dodge Park and another long release.

Bigfish,
