Default Elk tenderloin

So I had never cooked any deer/elk before so I was reading through the ifish recipes to get some ideas because my uncle gave me an elk tenderloin from this past season. Instead of robbing someone elses, I threw together my own concoction, with a lil help from you folks. I'm sure it's not going to end up being completely original, but DANG it was good!

Cut tenderloin into 3/4" steaks
soak in buttermilk for an hour
sprinkle with a touch of Johnny's
saute 1/2 a sweet onion and a whole portobello mushroom
Cover the steaks with onion/mushroom and fry in olive oil

Quick recipe and GOOD EATS!
