McNary Carnage 10/8 -10/9

I took an Ifish lurker, DuknDog, on his
first night fishing trip. He lurks because
he is having trouble registering. Something
about cookies. Anyways, on with the story.
I think he will be giving up day fishing.
We went 8 for 8 on the fish! Ist 10 minutes
he bagged an 8 pound steely. Then we hit 2
nates. In the next 6 hours, Ike and Tina
showed up. 36.5, 35, 34 and 33 inch
hatchery steelhead are boated. To top that
off he nails a 25 pound chinook. I tried to
explain to him that it doesn't always
happen like that. Now he is spoiled.
Another one crosses over to the dark side!

Good job Rick on handling
those fish like a pro! Some of those fish
just about ate your lunch! :grin:

The Idaho fish and game department is working on a plan to limit the number of predators to steelhead. The number one predator on their list is someone that answers to "FEAR NO FISH".

You gotta let a couple get by for breeding stock, or take each person from ifish so we can enjoy steelhead before you get the last one. :shocked: :shocked:

Sounds like the new boat modifications are dialed in already.

Sometimes it just seems so easy. Each one of those fish had a great story. Sheer pandemonium! Now is the time to be at McNary.

fear no fish: thanks for the post. i live in portland so that is a long drive for me. but i was curious what techniques you guys use to nail these fish?

Those big pig steelies are headed to Idaho. Since they are trespassing on our river, we will have to prosecute a few of em. As for the Nooks, they are doing the boot lookalike thing.
They sure put a bend in the rod though!
