Default Tillamook dropper/leader

For those who fish the South jetty and outside, how long of a dropper and length of leader do you use? How much lead are you using? With the new boat I'll be getting out this year and appreciate the info.

I have seen lead droppers as long as 4 ft. although the norm would be about 3 ft... As far as lead weight is concerned, the average outside the south jetty would be about 8 oz. When you tuck in outside of the south jetty, I have gone down to 6 oz. to get your bait away from the boat. If you're gonna be fishing alot of rods let's say four, than I would put 10 oz. on the bow end rods and stay with 8's on the back rods to avoid tangles. If you're fishing between the tips of the jetties, than you could end up using up to 12 oz just to keep your bait on the bottom on a fast moving flood tide. This is what I have learned over the years.
