Default The Newbie

I am new to ifish and thought I'd throw out a hello.

I am originally for the east coast where I fished for many years for warm water fish. Did a bunch of ice fishing.

Anyway, when I moved here about eight years ago a friend decided to teach me what fishing was REALLY about.

Eight years later he is still trying. One day I might figure it out. The fun is in the figuring!

From one recent newbie to another, welcome to a great fishing site. I love to yak away about steelhead and chinook fishing! But Im still holding back a little because Im new. Similar to being a shy new kid that moved to a new school. So ripper, if you will put up lots of posts then I can feel comfortable cutting loose with it too.

Hi there!

Tradition dictates that you post a fishing story. If you dont there is some type of ifish curse that makes all of you tackle dry up and fall off!

You! crabbait you're the culprit! I still can't get that smell out of the car.

Welcome Ripper and Excuse me.

You're in a pretty fast crowd here. Don't be shy and a good story is worth waiting for ... take your time, kick your shoes off and make yourself to home.
