Sad day of fishing
I went fishing for silvers on the Clackamas today and when I got back home I was told my father had just passed away. It is really hard to keep on going to do day to day things.

Re: Sad day of fishing
My sympathies go out to you and your family at this time of loss. It's a tough thing to lose a parent, I lost my dad almost 30 years ago and still think about him a lot. Remember he'll always live in your memories.
Take care,

Re: Sad day of fishing
My thoughts are with you and your family. I've been fortunate not to have loss my parents. My father is getting up there in years and his health has not been good the last few years. I worry about it daily.
Take care.

Re: Sad day of fishing
It is a bummer when love ones are gone. I lost my parents in 94 and 95. Still think of the things I wish I had done with them. I still miss them. Best wishes to your family in a time of loss.

Re: Sad day of fishing
Sorry to hear about your father. I lost mine about two years ago. His birthday would have been coming up on this Halloween. But like me and most of the rest of us who have lost a parent or two, we'll keep those memories forever. Hope you find comfort in this trying time. :depressed:

Re: Sad day of fishing
I am sorry to hear about your loss.
My Dad died a few years ago, I thought I was prepared as I know it could happen at any time, but it absolutely ripped my guts out......
What I want to tell you is that after a few months you will be able to talk about without choking up and after 6 - 12 months most of the pain goes pretty much away. Keep busy, know that it's absolutely ok to cry and things will get easier every day, I promise..........

Re: Sad day of fishing
You and your family are in my prayers. My Dad was my fishing partner since I was about 4 years old. When he graduated, I quit fishing.
It just didn't seem the same..
what a mistake..Now I'm back in the program and I use his poles..He's with me.. Just wish he had some pull up there so I could get a few more fish..
Hang in there. Remember the good times.

Re: Sad day of fishing
I just don't know what to say. My dad had a heart attack this summer, it was mild, but it still scared me. I look at this post and get tears in my eyes. Just know he is in a better place.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
