Default Leader question

I have been using 40# ultragreen to tie my salmon leaders. After fishing a few trips at T-Bay, I have been going through leaders like crazy. Even with bead chains protected with syringes or the tips of ball point pens, I still twist up a bunch of leaders because of the weeds. I know that Chameleon is a bit stiffer. Would it resist twisting a bit more? I know some who are tying with 50# Big Game also. Any feedback? Just trying to keep my bait fishing longer.

I agree. 40lb Maxima clear is what I use.

******, O.My... Is Maxima Clear stiffer, or as stiff (and more or equal abrasion resistant) than Chameleon? I have used Ultra green and Chameleon, but not clear.

(I'm a sold puppy on Maxima)
