Default Enough Water at Old Mill Marina Tomorrow AM?

For those of you with some experience launching at Old Mill Marina at low water, given Satuday's 6am barely-minus tide, will there be enough water to launch there around 6:30am and then get out through the skinny water at the corner?

With our boat trimmed and balanced we need about 2' of liquid.

Thanks for your thoughts!

I haven't been there in a while, but it used to be actually easier at low tide. The channel is clearly visible (it's the only water between the mud bars - duugh!). I used to run a 3 foot draft boat out of there all the time. Run the outdrive up and use the kicker trimmed if you're concerned. A medium tide is the worst, can't tell the channel from the mud flats.
Unless it's filled in you should be fine. Follow a bigger boat (watch out for the sleds with pumps though - they take shortcuts).
Probably should ge tbetter advise from someone who's fished out of there this year.

Or you can pay $3 launching at the port and not worry about getting grounded and maybe tweeking a prop.

Garyk - that spot has always been the worst. It's wide and shallow, no clear "ditch" to go through. Just follow some big fiberglass pig like I used to take out of there. Or - Launch at the big "G" like BOE says.

FYI - I found Old Mills phone number and the folks there say that you'll have to wait until 8:30am on Saturday to launch.

Thanks Miss-B. I know what you mean about running-the-ditch.

The last times out though, after you round the outside corner and head seaward, the channel seem to shoal up right before it meets the deep channel leading to the Garibaldi docks.

We may have just strayed out of the ditch, but this year I wasn't sure if we could make it over that last hump of mud. Anyone else?

Launched there last weekend and they had warning signs posted for the 8th and 9th. There must be real low tides those day's. No warning signs for the 5th.
