Those were made in Louisiana and it's spelled Ouachita (pronounced wash-a-taw) after the Ouachita Indians that lived up and down what is now the Ouachita River. Anyway, they made aluminum boats but most were the "coffin" style fiberglass ones that were narrow and deep. Most of them were equipped with stick steering where the steering was accomplished with a single stick that moved the motor right or left with a forward of backward pull of the stick. Great boats.
