Where on the Sandy are you thinking about going? I was just out there on the lower portion and it was REALLY dead. That can all change at a moments notice, of course, but just to let you know.

I wish I had advice to give
Like yourself, I'm still learning, but not just new areas. This is the first year I've even fished for salmon or steelhead so you'll want to take anything I say with a grain of salt.

We started off at Dabney today and saw one group in a drift put in there. There were maybe 5 other people fishing in that general area and no one caught anything in the teo hours we were there. We went further up to Oxbow and then fished our way down from there to Lewis and Clark. Same story all day with everyone. No fish anywhere to be seen and no one catching anything. They might be in tomorrow though. You never know! Wish I could go with ya, but tomorrow is not my day.
