Default storing brined herring

I've got a couple dozen baits that I didn't use this weekend that have been brined up. Should I store them in the brine for next weekend, or drain them and store them in a zip lock? Freeze them or just refrigerate?

I brined some herring and was not able to fish that day so the herring was in the brine for a week I took that bait fishing the following weekend a it caught fish but I had them very cold in my bait frig. And it was one of my better fishing trips

I put hem in the freezer. If there's enough salt they don't refreeze anyway. They keep for weeks that way. In fact I probably still have some from last fall in there!!!! I won't use them exept for bottom fishing, but the'd probably work. Heck those pesky springers bite a shiny peice of plastic with herring flavored petroleum jelly smeared on it!

Salt 'em, freeze 'em, if nothing else they make good "back up baits"!

(remember, you get what you pay for , MOST of the time!!!)

No need to freeze. If the freeze and thaw they will be mushy. Mine are usually good for at least two weeks in the fridge.

Brine and Brite with rock salt.
