We have Threads failure.
Can't get ahold of the importer, and a handful of members files got mixed up.
They specially wrote a script for ifish that would transfer everything in a different way. Man, was it ever different!
Post counts were off, member post counts were off, forum counts... and even some members logged in and became other users! Wild, man!
I need some fresh air.
I don't know when Allen will be back to help us out, though.
I'll give you updates as I know.
Thanks for your patience.
Jen

Hey, it was pretty fun, though. Kinda like fishing for a species you've never fished for before, or learning a new stretch of river.
The See's Candy Truck will be backing up to your house any time now. You've earned a whole drop-shipment of the finest CHOCOLATE!!!
Jennie, all we can say is THANKS for all your hard, hard work. And trust me, it's sincere!

Re: We have Threads failure.
Sorry that things didn't work out as planned. I'm sure a lot of hard work went into it and you must be very frustrated at the moment. You will make it happen and this great site will become even better. Just remember how much we all appreciate what you are doing for us. Re: We have Threads failure.
Allen is a good dude.. he will get you to threads if anybody can. Threads is a great platform but isn't as user friendly out of the box, so bear with the changes when Jen gets it running.
Strange you had those problems on the import..hmm Was probably a dated script that was for a previous version of classic.
you will be a pro in no time Jen hang tough

Re: We have Threads failure.
I didn't have any problems per se. I did notice that I went from being member number 727 to member number 525. I thought I had been upgraded. (yes, member numbers are still in there, they just don't show with your avatar and such).

Re: We have Threads failure.
Don't really care for the new forums. Why don't you go to something like this http://forums.atvconnection.com/cate...m/catid/13.cfm
They are very easy to use, and work really well.

Re: We have Threads failure.
Ketchumfast,
When we get back to threads, go to your profile, and update it. There are some things that I needed to change. Specifically my signature block was too long, for one. I had to change something else, but I can't remember what. Once I made those changes, I could post away.

Re: We have Threads failure.
Mojo: Thanks. When the threads was working, I was at my profile I think (home page). Nothing seemed out of order. How did you know what to change? Was if flagged or something? Maybe it will be obvious when we get back to the threads and I get to my profile  Anyway thanks for the suggestions. By for now

Re: We have Threads failure.
I was having loads of fun till those darn mixed up members showed up! So what if you are another member? Come on, GIVE ME A BREAK! PICKY PICKY!
LOL
It was a good test run for us all. I just tend to want things just right.
We'll get there. I just went fishing... now, for a nap. There is no water out there, and no fishes for me, either!
Jen

Re: We have Threads failure.
Well, it was "kinda" fun for awhile. I got logged on to the threads without any trouble and then started "fishing". Finally decided to post a reply in one of the threads, ant that's when frustration set in. I kept getting a "can't complete-form not filled out" or something like that  So, I went to instructions Jen posted - went to netscape- redid my "cookies" and tried again. Still same thing. Glad we are back here for a little while so I can post something  If anyone can give me some advice before we make the switch again I'd appreciate it. I really do like the new "threads" just think I'm too old to be trained quickly
