Default Astoria Custom Fish Processing

I have some friends wanting to fish salmon in Astoria this coming summer. They are flying in from Southern Cal.

Where do they take their fish to have it processed, frozen and boxed for shipping?

Thank you

They can take it on the plane with them a whole lot cheaper. Get a cheap cooler and take as checked baggage.

Frozen salmon tastes really bad. Might think about smoking and canning?

It is too bad that there are Thousands of people eating "frozen salmon that tastes bad" everyday.
Not all people have the luxury of eating fresh salmon.
There is nothing bad about the taste of salmon that is processed properly, and then flash frozen.

I think freezing salmon is like cooking it. You can directly ruin salmon by over cooking or preparing it improperly. To preserve it's flavors it has to be cared for and prepared properly.

Vacuum packed, smoked or flash frozen; salmon is excellent. If you catch your fish then neglect to bleed it, or keep it cold you might as well throw your fish on the hood of your car and drive it home.
