This is my first post in quite some time - I'll use the standard "I've been busy" excuse. I fished the uber-zipper lip Wilson River (from the bank) on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday I caught a nice ~13 lb native on a pink FCJ, at "the first spot":
Sunday I got skunked, but my buddy caught a "noodle-e" 7 lb hatchery fish, at around MP 17. I only saw two or three "fresh" fish in the river for both days.
On to the rant...while fishing from the big rocks slightly upstream from Jones Creek Bridge, two fisherman came walking across the bridge, to the side I was on. As they were walking across, I got snagged up, upstream of where I was standing. So, I walk upstream (perhaps 20 yards)to un-snag my rig. These guys clearly saw that I was snagged up. So what do they do? They take my spot! Keep in mind, there are miles of river to fish (and not many people out on Sunday), yet they had to be in that one spot. Rather than get in a confrontation and get more more steamed, I moved on. That's total bush-league etiquette on their part, if you ask me...
