Default $34,000 Sturgeon

Last year was the first year with my new girl friend. She told me she usto to fish when she was little. So we fish for the usual trout and other fish. I asked her if she wanted to try for some sturgeon. Well I had to buy her a rod and reel to do this.

Off we went in my 17 footer Smokercraft. Two or three trips near the dam and no keepers. Next week went out again near Tanner creak. Put our lines and waited. It was one of those days where the wind was blowing and cool. One after another the poles showed some signs of a bite. All of sudden both pole went off, fish on. We started to fight them with no time to release the anogthr. One side of the boat to another we moved. After a have an hour my wanted to see what Astoria looked like and he was gone. She still had hers on. After another hour we had a 9 footer along the boat. She sat on the boat seat to tired to even get up. So I decided to go back and call it a day.

On the way home all she could talk about was how small that deck was. That is when I put my plan is action. Off to Stevens Marine didn’t even stop to clean up. Than still had the boat I had been looking at. Now they wanted my money nor them that sturgeon wanted to see Astoria. Now that 20 foot Alumaweld sure looks good behind my truck. That is why the nick costalot. $34,000 and a happy fishing buddy.

Take her camping in the rain. She'll want you to buy a camper. Then you'll need a bigger truck to pull the boat with the camper, next thing you know you got a whole new setup. Sounds like a great plan to me.

Sounds like a nice boat and great story. I should warn you about using the word 9 footer and an hour later in the same sentence. It sometimes opens a huge can of worms

Welcome aboard, it's nice to have another avid sturgeon fisherman to chat with
